A New Direction Altogether.

We are going to look into two degrees within the same general area, however from opposite or in conjunction The Foundations of Teacher Education and the Career and Technical Education Instruction Associates Degree.

When considering The Foundations of Teacher Education please note that you will attain license-ship that promotes you to work directly with students per supervision via a licensed teacher. You will assist with assignments, behavior, special needs, and clerical tasks. With this degree you have the opportunity to work with pre-kindergarten aged children to 21 year old adults per the traditional school year as instructed by your chosen preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools. With this degree you may find work as a substitute teacher as well.

Next, we will take a look at the newly added Technical Education Instruction Associates Degree to NWTC’s roster. This accreditation conglomerate prepares graduates to teach in technology and industrial art programs either as “occupational, vocational, career, or technical subjects to students at the middle and secondary school level. Wisconsin DPI Experienced-Based Licensure for Technical and Vocational Education Subjects form PI-1623 and accompanying documentation of 200 hours of related work experience or completion of a baccalaureate degree are needed to meet licensure requirements in the state of WI. This product would provide students the education needed to qualify for experience-based technical and vocational education pathway with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.”
